CONTRE-NATURE
Scénographie aux accents brutalistes et jeux subtils d'équilibre.
Contre-nature est une exposition qui s’est tenue en 2022 au MO.CO Panacée. Elle est “habitée de formes insolentes et hybrides. C’est un paysage surpeuplé de tronches grotesques, de plantes folles, de terres brulées et d'émaux délirants. L'eau, la terre et le feu le déterminent”.
Par des assemblages d'éléments industriels pour border les jardins, cette scénographie inédite propose une promenade à travers un paysage composé par toutes les altérités mêlées des œuvres de céramiques. La subtilité du contraste entre la couleur ombrée des modénatures de béton et les blancs poudrés des plaques de papier recyclé met en place un jeu d’équilibre qui vient souligner toutes les qualités des pièces manufacturées. Si les îlots imposent discrètement le dessin de la visite, ils savent s’effacer au profit des singularités des œuvres, et entrent en dialogue avec l’architecture des espaces et les différentes séquences de l'exposition.
A scenography combining brutalist flavours with subtle equilibria. The Against Nature exhibition was held in 2022 at the MO.CO Panacée. The exhibition is populated by insolent and hybrid forms. It forms a landscape that is overpopulated with grotesque faces, crazy plants, scorched earth and quirky enamels. Water, earth and fire are its determining elements. By assembling industrial elements to enclose the gardens, this original scenography creates a journey through a landscape comprising all the forms of alterity combined with ceramic works. The subtlety of the contrast between the shaded colour of the concrete mouldings and the powdered whites of the recycled paper plates creates an interplay of balances that underlines all the qualities of the manufactured pieces. Although the islets discreetly guide the course of the visit, they fade into the background, overshadowed by the imposing works of the exhibition, and enter into a dialogue with the architecture of the spaces and with the different sequences of the exhibition.
